Telašćica bay is situated in the central part of the eastern Adriatic coast, in the SE part of the island of Dugi otok. Thanks to its extreme beauty, richness and importance, this bay surrounded by 13 islands and islets, together with 6 islets inside the bay of Telašćica itself, was proclaimed a Nature Park in 1988.
The Kornati National Park is often mentioned as "nautical paradise" in tourist publications. And really, in "slalom" sailing through the 89 unforgettable islands, islets and reefs in the Kornati National Park, you will test all of your nautical skills, particularly if the weather puts in some effort...
Mljet National Park is large area that borders two salt water lakes - Veliko and Malo Jezero (Large and Small Lake). The Lakes stretch for about 4 kilometres. Right in the middle of the Large Lake there is a small island / islet Melita (Sveta Marija) with large building of former Benedictine monastery, erected there in 12th century (see photo above).
Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest national park in Southeast Europe and the largest national park in Croatia. The important north-south road connection, which passes through the national park area, connects the Croatian inland with the Adriatic coastal region.
Krka National Park lies within Šibenik-Knin County, and covers a total area of 109 km2 of the loveliest sections of the Krka River, and the lower course of the Čikola River. The national park is a vast and primarily unaltered area of exceptional natural value, including one or more preserved or insignificantly altered ecosystems.
